H1 – 2023 Release Schedule
- Preview Release – April 28, 2023
- Production Release – June 02, 2023
1. Org Chart on People Profile for the Contingent Worker
As a contingent worker, you can now see the Company Org Chart in People Profile if it has been configured.
Previously, even if configured to show on the People Profile, a contingent worker was unable to see the Org Chart in the People Profile.
This change brings consistency to the behavior of People Profile when viewing the Company Org Chart as a contingent worker as opposed to a regular employee.
Note
Previously, we announced a contingent worker being able to view the Succession Org Chart in People Profile. We should have said Company Org Chart. We have now made this change in the title and the description.
Configuration Requirements
Configure People Profile to include the Custom Org Chart block so the users can view it on their People Profile.

2. Dynamic Teams Quick Action on the Home Page
You can now access Dynamic Teams from the home page, using the Dynamic Teams quick action.
When you choose the Dynamic Teams quick action on the home page, it takes you to the Dynamic Teams landing page.
By adding this quick action to the home page, you can make it easier for people to find and use Dynamic Teams.
Configuration Requirements
The Dynamic Teams quick action is shown on the home page if it’s selected at Manage Home Page Quick Actions.
Note
For most customers, new quick actions are hidden by default.
When new quick actions become available, they may be shown or hidden in your system by default, depending on your scenario:
- When the latest home page is enabled for the first time, all quick actions available at that time are shown by default. You can hide the ones that you don’t want to use.
Role-Based Permission Prerequisites
- As a user, you have the User Dynamic Teams Create, View, and Edit Dynamic Teams permission.
- As an administrator, you have the Administrator Manage System Properties Manage the Latest Home Page permission.

3. Proxy Rights for Dynamic Teams
You can now explicitly grant proxy rights for the Dynamic Teams module.
When creating a proxy assignment, the Grant Proxy Rights section now includes the following options:
- Select Dynamic Teams to give the proxy user access to the My Teams landing page and the Team Members tab for each dynamic team that the account holder is on. Then the proxy can view and manage team data on behalf of an account holder.
Proxy users without explicit proxy rights can’t see these pages or take any actions in the Dynamic Teams module on behalf of the account holder.
We provided these options so that proxy rights for Dynamic Teams can be managed in the same way as for other product areas.

4. Added File Size Limit for Importing MDF Data
You can only import MDF data in files that are smaller than 500 MB when using Import and Export Data in Admin Center. For larger files, you can import them using FTP where the size limit is 1 GB.
Here is a screenshot of the Import and Export Data tool with the added info messages in the CSV File and the ZIP File tabs.
We added these guardrails to prevent the MDF data import from failing.

5. Selection of Inactive Users in Business Rules
Technical or inactive users such as v4admin are now supported in the Rule Engine Framework. You can now create a rule trace for a technical or an inactive user as well as select such a user when configuring a rule.
We’ve enabled the selection of inactive users in business rules to close a functionality gap.

6. Customizable Quick Actions
We made several enhancements to help home page administrators customize quick actions on the home page.
You can now:
- Create up to five custom quick actions, with many of the same configuration options as custom cards but with the same design pattern as standard quick actions.
- Change the order of both standard and custom quick actions (except for Reminders and Favorites, which always appear last).
- View the list of quick actions on a separate Manage Quick Actions page, instead of a dialog window.
Here’s an example of a custom quick action, titled “Example”, configured to appear first in the Quick Actions section on the home page. For visual consistency, it only includes a text label and an icon chosen from the SAP icon library. In this example, the Opportunity Marketplace quick action is configured to appear second. The Delegate Workflows quick action, which was previously shown first by default for this user, now appears third.
These options enable you to feature content that’s important to your organization at the top of the home page.
Configuration Requirements
Custom quick actions are optional. To configure them, go to Manage Home Page Quick Actions and choose Add Quick Action.
Note
By default, custom quick actions are added to the bottom of the list when they’re created. Then you can change the display order as needed.
They’re also disabled by default. They don’t appear on the home page until you enable them.

7. Disabling and Deleting Home Page Cards
As an administrator, you can now stop using some card types on the home page, if they aren’t appropriate for your organization. First, you can disable them so they’re no longer generated. Then, if you choose, you can delete existing cards of a given type so that they’re removed from the home page, for all users.
Home page cards are generated dynamically for each user, based on system configuration and business process. However, some card types may not be appropriate for all customers. You can now disable the following card types so that they’re no longer generated dynamically.
- Goals
- Review Employee Performance
- Review Your Performance
- Complete 360 Evaluation
- Complete Your 360 Evaluation
- Awards
- Time for a break?
- Finish Your Profile
If you choose, you can also delete all existing cards of a disabled card type with a scheduled job. Or you can just wait for existing cards of that type to expire and disappear from the home page automatically.
First, when you go to Manage Home Page Card Settings, you can use the Manage Card Settings page to disable one or more card types. In the following example, the Goals card type is disabled.
Manage Card Settings
Note
When a card type is disabled on the Manage Card Settings page, no new cards of that type are generated, for any user. However, existing cards of that type continue to appear.
After a card type is disabled, you can delete all existing cards of that type by going to Scheduled Job Manager Job Scheduler Create Job Request and selecting the job type Delete Cards from Database. When the job is executed, all existing cards of that type are deleted from the database and removed from the user interface. In the following example, only the Goals card type is available in the job parameters because it’s the only card type that’s disabled in the system.
In combination, these two features enable customers who don’t want to use a certain card type to completely remove it from the system.
Role-Based Permission Prerequisites
To disable home page cards, you have Administrator Manage System Properties Manage the Latest Home Page permission.
To delete home page cards, you have both of the following permissions:
- Administrator Admin Center Permissions Monitor Scheduled Jobs
- Administrator Admin Center Permissions Manage Scheduled Jobs

8. Start Microsoft Teams Chat from Quick card and People Profile Header
With the integration of SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft 365, users can now start a Microsoft Teams chat from an employee’s quick card or profile header.
After users choose the chat link, a chat window is opened in their Microsoft Team desktop client for instant conversation. If they don’t have a desktop client installed, the chat window is opened in their browser instead.
We developed this feature to enable users to start chats where they are, without having to switch to Microsoft Teams first.
Configuration Requirements
Basic integration between SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft 365 is enabled.
