1. SAP Identity Authentication Service Support for External Users
New hires in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding can now be authenticated using SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) before day 1.
In addition to employees, Onboarding external users are now authenticated using the SAP Identity Authentication Service common authentication method.

Configuration Requirements
- Employee authentication is configured in your existing SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) configuration.
- You’ve configured the SAP Identity Provisioning filter for external hires.
- You’ve configured the account activation e-mail in SAP Identity Authentication Service for onboarding new hires.
- You’ve disabled the welcome email template for new hire and rehire in Onboarding to prevent two welcome emails from being sent to the new hire.
- No account exists in SAP Identity Authentication Service with the email address or username of the external user.
Note:SAP Identity Authentication Service support for external users feature is available only to customers who are part of the early adoption program. SuccessFactors Onboarding 1H 2022.

2. Configuration Updates to Onboarding Jobs
We’ve decoupled a few jobs from the BizX Daily Rules Processing Batch job so that you can run the onboarding jobs individually.
The decoupled jobs are:
- Compliance Metadata Sync: Updates an instance with compliance metadata records and related compliance settings.
- Onboarding Process Closure: Archives onboarding and offboarding processes and configuration tasks.
- Where To Go Sync: Assigns onboardees to specific meetings.
If you’ve already configured the BizX Daily Rules Processing Batch job, the individual jobs are automatically created with the same schedule as the BizX Daily Rules Processing Batch job.
If you haven’t configured the BizX Daily Rules Processing Batch job, you need to configure the three onboarding jobs individually.
You can monitor the onboarding jobs by selecting the respective value from the list in Provisioning Monitor Jobs Job Type.

3. Enhanced Onboarding New Hire Experience on the Latest Home Page
New hires can now view onboarding meetings organized by managers or onboarding participants, and orientation meetings initiated by HR admins in the Your Onboarding Guide page on the latest home page. The Help Us Learn About You card disappears from the latest home page when all tasks are completed by new hires.
